At the top of the ranking is Netflix’s Natsume’s Book of Friends, with an average of 29.46 hours per user, demonstrating the strong and consistent appeal of Japanese anime among Indonesian audiences. Netflix also placed two additional titles in the Top 6: Snowpiercer (21.94 hours, 3rd place) and Mr. Queen (17.77 hours, 6th place), spanning sci-fi and Korean drama genres and reflecting viewers’ diverse content preferences.
Regional platforms also showed strong performance. WeTV secured two spots in the ranking, led by Kelana Cinta, which ranked second with 25.03 hours per user, highlighting the solid audience base for local or regional drama content in Indonesia. Go Go Squid! followed in fourth place with 21.41 hours, underscoring the continued influence of Chinese-language series in Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, Viu’s While You Were Sleeping ranked fifth with 18.39 hours, reaffirming the stable popularity of Korean dramas in the Indonesian market.
Overall, the rankings illustrate a dual structure in Indonesia’s SVOD market, where global platforms and regional content coexist. Netflix continues to attract viewers with a wide range of high-profile titles, while platforms such as WeTV and Viu maintain strong engagement through content that resonates closely with regional audiences.
