App Usage Ranking Among Taiwan's Online Banking Users
This report is conducted by GMO Research & AI and Z.com Engagement Lab based on an analysis of the ShareParty Insight behavioral database. It examines the most frequently used apps among Taiwanese users who have accessed online banking at least once in the past year, focusing on data from the past month.
Facebook (80.7%), LINE (75.9%), and YouTube (70.0%) secured the top three spots. Among them, LINE recorded a high average usage time of 22 hours per user, while the e-commerce platform Shopee (65.4%) led in engagement with 31.5 hours of average usage time. Social platforms Instagram (50.2%) and OPENPOINT (47.6%) also made the list, though with comparatively lower usage durations.
Overall, the digital habits of Taiwan's online banking users remain heavily centered around social media, video streaming, and e-commerce applications, highlighting the deep integration between financial behaviors and digital lifestyles.
